The plates
Four plates over the same coastline, drawn through one projection so they register against each other. Each states its own coverage inside the frame rather than under it, because a map that reports its gaps in a caption is reporting them where nobody looks.
- plateTime — the battles that carry a place312 marks · the only plate whose marks are drawn on coordinates
- plateFaith — religions and their presence0 marks · rows without coordinates; the plate says so in the frame
- plateNorse — polities and the thraldom layer0 marks · rows without coordinates; the plate says so in the frame
- plateTrade — assemblages and knowledge density0 marks · rows without coordinates; the plate says so in the frame
- plateConflict — the wars they belonged to149 marks · complete coordinates, zero rejects · a gazetteer join, not a database read
Nothing on these plates is verified against a primary text. Coordinates come from a hand-built gazetteer that predates this suite, and where a payload carries no coordinates the plate draws nothing and says so rather than inventing a position.
